Overview
Vaxigrip Tetra + Arexvy is a coordinated vaccination regimen being investigated by Wroclaw Medical University for patients with chronic heart failure. The intervention consists of the simultaneous administration of Vaxigrip Tetra, a quadrivalent inactivated influenza vaccine manufactured by Sanofi, and Arexvy, a recombinant respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine manufactured by GSK. Vaxigrip Tetra contains hemagglutinin antigens from four influenza strains (A/H1N1, A/H3N2, and two B lineages), while Arexvy utilizes a recombinant RSV pre-fusion F protein antigen combined with the AS01E adjuvant system. The primary objective of this coordinated approach is to improve the clinical prognosis of high-risk heart failure patients by reducing the incidence of respiratory infections and associated cardiovascular complications during the infection season.
