Drug intelligence / Profile preview
VaxigripTetra + LiteVax Adjuvant is a **combination immunization product** that includes VaxigripTetra, a quadrivalent inactivated split-virion influenza vaccine, and LiteVax Adjuvant, an immune response-modifying adjuvant. VaxigripTetra contains antigens (hemagglutinin) from four influenza virus strains (two A and two B lineages) to induce immunity and prevent seasonal influenza in individuals 6 months and older[1][3][5][7][8]. The addition of LiteVax Adjuvant is designed to enhance the immune response to the influenza antigens, although LiteVax is not an officially approved adjuvant for standard commercial flu vaccines and its use would be experimental or investigational in this context. The vaccine stimulates the immune system to produce antibodies against the included influenza strains, providing protection against infection. Mechanistically, VaxigripTetra acts as a vaccine inducing adaptive immune responses against influenza hemagglutinin. LiteVax Adjuvant is intended to act as an immune potentiator, increasing both humoral and possibly cellular immune responses.
