Drug intelligence / Profile preview
VC004 + itraconazole is a drug combination evaluated in clinical pharmacology trials to determine the pharmacokinetic impact of CYP3A4 inhibition on VC004. VC004 is a next-generation small molecule tropomyosin receptor kinase (TRK) inhibitor, specifically targeting TrkA, developed by Jiangsu Vcare PharmaTech for the treatment of locally advanced or metastatic NTRK fusion-positive solid tumors, including those with brain metastases. Itraconazole is a potent inhibitor of the CYP3A4 enzyme. Because VC004 is metabolized by the cytochrome P450 system, this combination is used to assess potential drug-drug interactions and guide dosing recommendations in patients receiving concomitant CYP3A4 inhibitors.
