A cancer peptide vaccine designed to induce cytotoxic T lymphocyte (CTL) responses against vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 1 (VEGFR1) and vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2). These receptors are key mediators of tumor angiogenesis. The vaccine consists of synthetic peptides derived from the extracellular domains of human VEGFR1 and VEGFR2, often formulated with an adjuvant such as Montanide ISA 51. It is administered subcutaneously to stimulate an immune response that targets tumor vasculature by recognizing cells expressing these receptors. The primary indication has been advanced solid tumors, including biliary tract cancer refractory to standard therapy[3][5]. Clinical trials have evaluated its safety, immunogenicity, and preliminary efficacy in combination or as monotherapy[3][4][5].
