Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The veterinary vaccine (FMD) is a preclinical-stage vaccine candidate being developed by Quratis, a South Korean biopharmaceutical company. The vaccine is designed to protect livestock, such as cattle, pigs, sheep, and goats, against Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD), a highly contagious viral disease caused by the Foot and Mouth Disease Virus (FMDV). Developed in collaboration with partners like Optipharm, the vaccine utilizes recombinant protein antigen technology to stimulate a protective immune response against FMDV. It is currently in preclinical development.
