Drug intelligence / Profile preview
VETOFLEX Ringer's Lactate is an approved veterinary intravenous solution developed by Bioluz. It is a balanced crystalloid solution composed of sodium chloride, potassium chloride, calcium chloride dihydrate, and sodium lactate. The solution is indicated for the treatment of extracellular dehydration, prevention and treatment of perioperative hypovolemia and hemorrhagic shock, and management of moderate metabolic acidosis across a wide range of species, including cattle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, rabbits, poultry, dogs, and cats. It works by restoring fluid volume in the extracellular compartment, while the lactate component is metabolized by the liver into bicarbonate, providing an alkalinizing effect to correct acidosis.
