vevorisertib + fulvestrant

**Vevorisertib + fulvestrant** is an investigational combination therapy composed of vevorisertib, a selective small molecule inhibitor of AKT (protein kinase B), and fulvestrant, a selective estrogen receptor degrader (SERD). Vevorisertib inhibits the activity of the AKT enzyme, which is part of the PI3K/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway frequently dysregulated in hormone receptor-positive breast cancer. Fulvestrant binds to and accelerates the degradation of the estrogen receptor, thus blocking estrogen-mediated signaling that drives tumor growth in hormone receptor-positive cancers. This combination is being studied primarily in patients with hormone receptor-positive, HER2-negative advanced or metastatic breast cancer who have progressed after prior endocrine therapy.
