Vildagliptin + thiazolidinedione is a combination therapy used in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus, specifically in patients who do not achieve adequate glycemic control with thiazolidinedione (TZD) monotherapy. Vildagliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor, which increases levels of incretin hormones (GLP-1 and GIP) by inhibiting their degradation.
