Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination of vitamin K (phytonadione) and retinol (vitamin A) used primarily in topical formulations. This combination has been shown to hasten the resolution of laser-induced purpura (bruising) and has beneficial effects on skin health. Vitamin K plays a role in blood coagulation and wound healing, while retinol promotes keratinocyte proliferation and collagen production. Together, they prevent collagen breakdown and stimulate its growth, helping to prevent and repair photodamaged skin.
