Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Viusid + Alzer** is a combination regimen composed of Viusid, a nutraceutical product with antioxidant, immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory and antiviral properties, and Alzer, a pharmaceutical formulation of donepezil hydrochloride, an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor. Viusid contains amino acids (arginine, glycine), vitamins (C, B5, B6, B12, folic acid), minerals (zinc sulfate), malic acid, glucosamine, and glycyrrhizinic acid, and is designed to support immune and antioxidative responses, with applications as an adjuvant treatment in viral infections, degenerative diseases, and anemia. Alzer contains donepezil hydrochloride and is primarily indicated for symptomatic treatment of dementia in Alzheimer's disease through inhibition of acetylcholinesterase, leading to increased acetylcholine levels in the brain. The combination has been cited in alternative literature as an adjunctive regimen for stabilizing or supporting cognitive functions in neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Alzheimer's disease, albeit with limited robust clinical evidence for the combination[1][3][4].
