Drug intelligence / Profile preview
viveNK CAR-NK (CD19) is an allogeneic, off-the-shelf chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-engineered natural killer (NK) cell therapy developed by Glycostem Therapeutics. The therapy is derived from umbilical cord blood CD34+ stem cells and engineered using a lentiviral vector to express a CAR targeting the CD19 antigen. It is designed to treat B-cell malignancies and B-cell-driven autoimmune diseases, such as Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), by inducing the targeted lysis of CD19-positive B cells. As an allogeneic product, it is manufactured as a cryopreserved therapy that can treat multiple patients from a single cord blood unit, potentially offering safety advantages over CAR-T therapies, including a minimized risk of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) and cytokine release syndrome.
