Drug intelligence / Profile preview
VLPDEN-02 + ALFQ adjuvant is an investigational tetravalent dengue virus-like particle (VLP) vaccine being developed by VLP Therapeutics. The vaccine consists of non-replicating virus-like particles engineered using structure-based design to display the structural proteins (prM and E) of all four dengue virus serotypes (DENV-1, DENV-2, DENV-3, and DENV-4) without containing any viral genome. It is formulated with the Army Liposome Formulation with QS-21 (ALFQ) adjuvant to enhance immunogenicity. VLPDEN-02 + ALFQ adjuvant is designed to elicit broadly neutralizing antibody responses against all four dengue serotypes and is being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for the prevention of dengue fever.
