Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a **combination therapy** of **vonicog alfa** (recombinant von Willebrand factor, rVWF) and **octocog alfa** (recombinant factor VIII, rFVIII), used for rapid correction of hemostasis in adult patients with von Willebrand disease (VWD) when desmopressin is ineffective or inappropriate and rapid Factor VIII coagulant activity (FVIII:C) correction is needed. Vonicog alfa restores platelet adhesion at vascular injury sites and stabilizes endogenous factor VIII; octocog alfa directly increases FVIII levels. Their combined administration normalizes both VWF and FVIII:C, facilitating clot formation in acute bleeding or surgery[5][7].
