Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Vonoprazan + amoxicillin** is an oral, co-packaged dual therapy for eradication of *Helicobacter pylori* infection in adults, marketed in the United States as **Voquezna Dual Pak**. It combines vonoprazan, a potassium-competitive acid blocker that reversibly inhibits the gastric H+/K+-ATPase proton pump and provides sustained gastric acid suppression, with amoxicillin, a bactericidal aminopenicillin antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell-wall synthesis through penicillin-binding proteins. Takeda originated vonoprazan, and Phathom developed and commercializes the combination in the United States. The standard regimen is vonoprazan 20 mg twice daily plus amoxicillin 1,000 mg three times daily for 14 days.
