Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A quadruple therapy regimen used for Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) eradication. It combines vonoprazan (a potassium-competitive acid blocker that decreases stomach acid production), amoxicillin (an antibiotic that kills bacteria or prevents their growth), doxycycline (a tetracycline antibiotic with lower toxicity than other tetracyclines), and bismuth (usually in the form of colloidal bismuth tartrate or bismuth subsalicylate). This combination represents an evolution in H. pylori treatment approaches, particularly for patients who may have renal insufficiency or cannot tolerate standard tetracycline.
