Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Vorolanib (CM082) is a multi-target tyrosine kinase inhibitor developed to inhibit angiogenesis and tumor growth by targeting vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFRs) and platelet-derived growth factor receptors (PDGFRs). Everolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that blocks the mammalian target of rapamycin pathway to suppress cell proliferation and angiogenesis. The combination of vorolanib plus everolimus has been investigated for advanced renal cell carcinoma (RCC), particularly in patients who have progressed after standard therapies. Clinical studies indicate that this combination may improve progression-free survival compared to single-agent therapy[2][3][6]. Vorolanib is developed by Betta Pharmaceutical. Everolimus is marketed under several brand names including Afinitor and Zortress.
