Drug intelligence / Profile preview
VRB-101 + VRB-103 is an investigational fixed-dose oral combination therapy being developed by Verdiva Bio for the treatment of obesity. The therapy consists of two peptide-based components: VRB-101, which is an oral formulation of ecnoglutide (a cAMP-biased GLP-1 receptor agonist), and VRB-103, an oral dual-acting amylin and calcitonin receptor agonist (DACRA). Both peptides are delivered using Verdiva's proprietary T2026 oral absorption enhancer technology. By simultaneously targeting the GLP-1 and amylin pathways, the combination is designed to achieve synergistic effects on appetite regulation and body weight reduction. The program is currently in IND-enabling development, with Verdiva evaluating both once-daily and once-weekly dosing frequencies. The drug candidates were originally licensed from Sciwind Biosciences.
