Drug intelligence / Profile preview
VTX-003 is a preclinical-stage precision RNA therapeutic being developed by Valerio Therapeutics (formerly Valerio Toyos). It utilizes a proprietary V-Body-oligonucleotide conjugate platform to deliver small interfering RNA (siRNA) specifically to T cells. The drug is designed to modulate exhausted T cells, particularly precursor exhausted T (Tpex) cells, to reactivate their anti-tumor activity in oncology settings. By delivering siRNA to these specific cell populations, VTX-003 aims to overcome T-cell exhaustion, a common mechanism of resistance in cancer immunotherapy.
