Warfarin + acenocoumarol

Warfarin + acenocoumarol is a combination of two oral anticoagulant drugs, both classified as vitamin K antagonists. These agents inhibit the enzyme vitamin K epoxide reductase complex subunit 1, thereby blocking the recycling of vitamin K and reducing the synthesis of active clotting factors II, VII, IX, and X as well as proteins C and S[2][4][6]. Warfarin has a longer half-life (24–33 hours) compared to acenocoumarol (1.8 hours), leading to differences in pharmacokinetics and clinical use[1].
