Drug intelligence / Profile preview
White Curcumin + Selen (Белый куркумин + селен) is an oral dietary supplement developed and manufactured by the Russian company Diod (Завод «ДИОД»). The formulation combines tetrahydrocurcumin, a colorless and highly bioavailable metabolite of curcumin often referred to as "white curcumin," with the essential trace element selenium. Tetrahydrocurcumin provides potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity by scavenging reactive oxygen species and modulating inflammatory pathways. Selenium serves as a critical cofactor for antioxidant enzymes, most notably glutathione peroxidase, which protects cells from oxidative damage. The product is marketed for general wellness, immune support, and as an antioxidant defense supplement. As a biologically active supplement (БАД), it is not classified as a medicinal drug and is intended for nutritional support rather than the treatment of acute diseases.
