Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**WIN-1001X** is an investigational botanical extract derived from *Polygala tenuifolia*, *Angelica tenuissima*, and *Dimocarpus longan*. It is being developed for Parkinson's disease and has been evaluated in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase 2 study in patients with early Parkinson's disease at doses of 400 mg, 800 mg, and 1200 mg. Preclinical studies indicate that the extract may enhance autophagy and protect dopaminergic neurons in toxin-induced Parkinsonian models; however, no discrete direct molecular target has been established publicly.
