Overview

**Xaluritamig + abiraterone** is an investigational combination therapy being studied for metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). Xaluritamig (AMG 509) is a bispecific T-cell engager that targets the six-transmembrane epithelial antigen of the prostate 1 (**STEAP1**) on cancer cells and CD3 on T-cells, directing immune-mediated cytotoxicity against STEAP1-positive prostate cancer cells. Abiraterone is a widely used oral androgen biosynthesis inhibitor that blocks CYP17A1, reducing androgen production and suppressing tumor growth. The combination is being studied for potential synergistic anti-tumor effects in advanced prostate cancer, aiming to improve immune-mediated lysis of tumor cells in the context of androgen deprivation[1][2][5].
