Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xaluritamig + enzalutamide is an experimental combination of xaluritamig, a novel humanized bispecific T-cell engager antibody, with enzalutamide, an androgen receptor signaling inhibitor, being investigated in the treatment of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC). Xaluritamig is designed to bind the tumor-associated antigen STEAP1, expressed in most prostate cancers, and CD3 on T-cells, redirecting T-cells to attack STEAP1-expressing tumor cells. Enzalutamide is a standard androgen receptor inhibitor for prostate cancer that blocks androgen receptor signaling, crucial for prostate cancer cell survival and growth. The combination aims to achieve synergistic efficacy by enhancing immune-mediated tumor cell killing while suppressing androgen receptor-driven cancer cell proliferation. The combination is still under clinical investigation, and its efficacy compared to enzalutamide monotherapy is being studied.
