Xiao'er Houerhuan Xiaoyan granules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) developed by Jiangxi Xinglin Baima Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. for the treatment of pediatric acute upper respiratory tract infections. The formulation is based on the extract of the medicinal plant *Pithecellobium clypearia* (known as Houerhuan in Chinese), which is traditionally recognized for its heat-clearing, detoxifying, and anti-inflammatory properties. It is specifically indicated for children presenting with the "wind-heat" pattern of the common cold, targeting symptoms such as fever, sore throat, and cough. The drug is currently being evaluated in Phase II clinical trials in China to determine the optimal safe dose and preliminary efficacy in the pediatric population.
