Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xiao'er Huanglong Granules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by Chongqing Xieran Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. for the treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in children. It was approved by the China National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) in 2013 as a Class 6.1 new TCM drug. The formula is designed to address the TCM patterns of kidney deficiency and liver hyperactivity, as well as phlegm-fire disturbing the heart. It aims to improve attention, reduce hyperactivity and impulsivity, and stabilize mood by modulating the balance of neurotransmitters in the central nervous system. Clinical trials have demonstrated its efficacy and safety in pediatric populations, positioning it as a common alternative or adjunct to stimulant medications in China.
