Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Xiao'er Xiaoji Zhike Keli (小儿消积止咳颗粒) is a traditional Chinese patent medicine (TCPM) developed and manufactured by Lunan Pharmaceutical Group (specifically through its subsidiary Lunan Hopu Pharmaceutical). Formulated as oral granules, the medicine is derived from a clinical experience prescription of Bi Ke'en, a renowned pediatric traditional Chinese medicine practitioner. The formulation consists of ten herbal ingredients: Chao Shanzha (stir-baked Hawthorn Fruit), Binglang (Areca Seed), Zhishi (Bitter Orange), Mi Pipaye (honey-fried Loquat Leaf), Gualou (Snakegourd Fruit), Chao Laifuzi (stir-baked Radish Seed), Chao Tinglizi (stir-baked Tansymustard Seed), Jiegeng (Platycodon Root), Lianqiao (Forsythia Fruit), and Chantui (Cicada Slough). It is officially approved in China for the treatment of pediatric cough associated with food accumulation and phlegm-heat syndrome, characterized by symptoms such as cough (worse at night), sputum in the throat, abdominal distension, and halitosis. It is also clinically utilized or investigated in combination therapies for pediatric acute bronchitis, cough variant asthma, and Mycoplasma pneumoniae pneumonia.
