Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**XMAb24306 + atezolizumab** is an investigational combination drug comprising XMAb24306 (efbalropendekin alfa), an engineered IL-15/IL-15 receptor alpha (IL-15Rα) Fc-fusion protein, and atezolizumab, a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1)[5][2][3]. XMAb24306 acts as a cytokine therapy, enhancing the cytotoxic activity and antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) of NK cells and potentially T cells via IL-15 pathway agonism[1][3]. Atezolizumab blocks PD-L1, releasing PD-1/PD-L1–mediated inhibition of immune responses and promoting antitumor immune activity via checkpoint inhibition[2][4][6]. The combination is intended to potentiate antitumor immune responses by synergistically stimulating innate (NK) and adaptive (T) immunity.
