Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Nasic** is an intranasal fixed-dose nasal spray combining xylometazoline hydrochloride, a sympathomimetic alpha-adrenergic agonist that constricts nasal mucosal blood vessels and reduces mucosal swelling, with dexpanthenol, a pantothenic-acid precursor that supports epithelial protection and mucosal wound healing. Developed by Klosterfrau, it is marketed for relief of nasal congestion during rhinitis including the common cold, vasomotor rhinitis, acute rhinosinusitis-associated rhinitis, and impaired nasal breathing after nasal surgery. Standard Nasic nasal spray contains xylometazoline hydrochloride 1 mg/mL and dexpanthenol 50 mg/mL and is intended for adults and children aged 6 years and older.
