Overview

XZP-3287 (bireociclib) + anastrozole is a **combination drug** under investigation for hormone receptor–positive (HR+) and HER2–negative advanced or metastatic breast cancer. XZP-3287 is a newly developed, selective small molecule inhibitor of cyclin-dependent kinases 4 and 6 (CDK4/6), targeting cell cycle progression. Anastrozole is an aromatase inhibitor that reduces estrogen synthesis, commonly used in endocrine therapy for breast cancer. The combination is designed to inhibit tumor cell proliferation by blocking CDK4/6-mediated cell cycle progression and suppressing estrogen-driven signaling. The combination is being developed and trialed by Xuanzhu Biopharmaceutical, primarily for use in China and is currently in Phase III clinical studies.
