Overview
Yangxinshi is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation, commonly available as Yangxinshi tablets (Yangxinshi Pian), used for the treatment of various cardiovascular conditions. It is composed of a complex mixture of herbal extracts, including *Panax ginseng*, *Astragalus membranaceus*, *Salvia miltiorrhiza*, and *Crataegus pinnatifida*. The drug is primarily indicated for chronic coronary syndrome (CCS), angina pectoris, and chronic heart failure. Its therapeutic effects are attributed to its ability to improve myocardial energy metabolism, enhance coronary blood flow, and provide anti-inflammatory and antioxidant protection to the cardiovascular system. In clinical practice, it is often used as an adjunctive therapy alongside standard Western medications. A significant Phase 4 clinical trial (NCT05484505) led by Shandong First Medical University has investigated its impact on exercise capacity in patients with CCS.
