yimitasvir + sofosbuvir

Yimitasvir + sofosbuvir is an oral fixed-dose combination therapy for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. Yimitasvir is a novel direct-acting antiviral (DAA) that inhibits the HCV NS5A protein, an essential viral phosphoprotein involved in viral RNA replication and assembly, while sofosbuvir is a nucleotide analog inhibitor targeting the HCV NS5B RNA-dependent RNA polymerase, leading to chain termination during viral replication. The combination provides a dual mechanism of action for potent suppression of HCV replication, aiming to achieve sustained virologic response and eradication of HCV from the body. Both agents are classified as small molecules and represent a class of interferon-free DAAs suitable for oral administration.
