Drug intelligence / Profile preview
YM155 + erlotinib is a combination therapy consisting of YM155, a potent selective survivin inhibitor, and erlotinib, an EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor. This combination was developed to overcome resistance to EGFR TKIs in EGFR mutation-positive non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), particularly in cases with PTEN loss. YM155 works by suppressing survivin expression, which can restore sensitivity to erlotinib-induced apoptosis in resistant cancer cells.
