Drug intelligence / Profile preview
90Y-J591 is a radioimmunotherapy agent comprising the deimmunized monoclonal antibody J591 (rosopatamab) labeled with the beta-emitting radioisotope Yttrium-90 (90Y). The antibody J591 specifically targets the extracellular domain of Prostate-Specific Membrane Antigen (PSMA), a protein highly overexpressed on the surface of prostate cancer cells and the neovasculature of various solid tumors. Upon binding to PSMA, the complex is internalized, and the high-energy beta particles emitted by 90Y cause lethal double-stranded DNA breaks in the target and neighboring cells via the crossfire effect. Developed primarily for metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC), it has been studied in both single-dose and fractionated regimens to optimize the balance between anti-tumor efficacy and bone marrow toxicity.
