A combination therapy consisting of Chinese herbal medicine YXBCM01 (also known as PSORI-CM01) plus calcipotriol (a vitamin D analog) and betamethasone (a corticosteroid) for the treatment of psoriasis vulgaris. YXBCM01 contains multiple botanicals including Radix Paeoniae Rubra, Sarcandra glabra, and Rhizoma Smilacis Glabrae that have traditional Chinese medicine functions of clearing heat, cooling blood, and eliminating toxic heat. Calcipotriol works by reducing overproduction of skin cells while betamethasone reduces inflammation. This triple combination targets different aspects of psoriasis pathophysiology.
