Overview

JP-1366 + aspirin is a drug combination consisting of zastaprazan (JP-1366), a novel potassium-competitive acid blocker (P-CAB), and aspirin, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and antiplatelet agent. Zastaprazan, developed by Onconic Therapeutics (a subsidiary of Jeil Pharmaceutical), inhibits the gastric H+/K+-ATPase (proton pump) in a potassium-competitive manner to suppress acid secretion. This combination is primarily evaluated in clinical settings to assess pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic drug-drug interactions (DDI) and to investigate the potential of zastaprazan in preventing NSAID-induced peptic ulcers, a common complication of long-term aspirin therapy.
