zastaprazan + atorvastatin

JP-1366 + atorvastatin refers to the co-administration of zastaprazan (JP-1366) and atorvastatin, which is being investigated in Phase 1 clinical trials to evaluate potential drug-drug interactions. Zastaprazan is a novel potassium-competitive acid blocker (P-CAB) developed by Onconic Therapeutics, a subsidiary of Jeil Pharmaceutical. It works by competitively and reversibly binding to the gastric H+/K+-ATPase proton pump, providing rapid and sustained suppression of gastric acid secretion. Atorvastatin is a widely used HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor (statin) indicated for the treatment of hypercholesterolemia and the prevention of cardiovascular disease.
