Overview
Zhigen Toutong'an Capsules (芷根头痛安胶囊) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formulation being developed by Shandong New Time Pharmaceutical (a subsidiary of Lunan Pharmaceutical Group) and Lunan Hope Pharmaceutical for the preventive treatment of migraine, specifically episodic migraine in adults with a TCM pattern of wind-cold with blood stasis. The formulation contains active herbal ingredients including Chuanxiong (Ligusticum striatum), Centipede (蜈蚣), and Black Ant (黑蚂蚁), which work synergistically to dispel wind-cold, promote blood circulation, and resolve blood stasis to relieve pain. It is currently in Phase III clinical development in China.
