**ZIKV E + 32CpG** appears to be a combination investigational vaccine candidate or immunogen strategy targeting Zika virus (ZIKV), comprising the **ZIKV envelope protein (E protein)** and an oligodeoxynucleotide containing **32 CpG motifs** as an adjuvant. The ZIKV E protein is a major viral surface glycoprotein responsible for receptor binding and membrane fusion, and is the primary antigen for the induction of virus-neutralizing antibody responses in hosts[5][6][9]. CpG motifs (unmethylated cytosine-phosphate-guanine dinucleotides) in oligonucleotides are recognized by Toll-like receptor 9 (TLR9), promoting strong Th1-type immune activation and improved cytotoxic T-cell responses via innate immune system stimulation. This combination is intended to enhance immunogenicity of the E protein and drive potent neutralizing antibody and cellular immune responses against Zika virus, offering prophylactic protection in preclinical models. The drug is still under investigation and not approved for human use.
