Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Diapo-Care Cream is a topical dermatological preparation developed and marketed by TV TPI (Thanh Vinh Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company). It is a combination product containing zinc oxide and dexpanthenol (D-panthenol), primarily indicated for the prevention and treatment of diaper dermatitis (diaper rash) in infants and adults. Zinc oxide acts as a physical skin protectant and mild astringent, creating a barrier that shields the skin from moisture and irritants such as urine and feces. Dexpanthenol, a provitamin of B5, promotes skin regeneration and epithelialization by serving as a precursor to pantothenic acid, which is essential for coenzyme A synthesis. The cream is also used to soothe minor skin irritations, including minor burns, sunburn, and abrasions, by maintaining skin hydration and supporting the natural healing process.
