Drug intelligence / Profile preview
ZL-82 is a small-molecule inhibitor of receptor-interacting serine/threonine-protein kinase 1 (RIPK1) being developed by Chengdu Zenitar Biomedical Technology. RIPK1 is a key mediator in the signaling pathways of necroptosis and pro-inflammatory cytokine production. By inhibiting the kinase activity of RIPK1, ZL-82 aims to mitigate necroptotic cell death and neuroinflammation, which are considered significant drivers in the progression of neurodegenerative diseases. Additionally, the drug is being explored for the treatment of inflammatory skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis, where RIPK1-mediated inflammation plays a pathological role.
