Overview

AGAP1 intronic transcript 1 (AGAP1-IT1) is a long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) located within an intron of the AGAP1 gene. It does not appear to encode a functional protein or micropeptide (as indicated by a negative CNIT score). AGAP1-IT1 is upregulated in osteosarcoma tissue compared to normal bone and is predominantly localized to the cytosol. Its specific cellular and molecular interactions remain largely uncharacterized, and there is little evidence to suggest a direct role in therapeutic intervention or as a receptor, enzyme, or transporter.
