Overview
ALDH1L1 antisense RNA 2 (ALDH1L1-AS2) is a long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) transcribed from the antisense strand of the ALDH1L1 gene locus[2][5]. As a non-protein-coding RNA, it does not encode a protein product. This lncRNA has been identified as downregulated in certain cancer subtypes, including HER2-enriched breast cancer[4]. There is currently limited functional or mechanistic information describing its precise biological roles, molecular partners, or clinical utility. No direct evidence suggests that ALDH1L1-AS2 is a therapeutic target, nor are any interacting drugs reported. Its principal relevance in the literature is as a transcript detected in gene expression and cancer profiling studies[4][5].
