Alpha platelet-derived growth factor receptor Overview

The alpha platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDGFRA), also known as CD140a, is a cell surface receptor tyrosine kinase that binds PDGF isoforms, activating signaling pathways regulating cell growth, differentiation, and development. It plays critical roles in embryonic development and tissue maintenance. Mutations or aberrant activity are linked to several neoplasms, including GISTs and clonal hypereosinophilia.
