Angiogenesis (Endothelial Cord Formation)

Molecular classification
Extracellular matrix remodeling, Cell adhesion, Growth factor signaling
01

Overview

Angiogenesis is the physiological process by which new blood vessels form from pre-existing vessels. Endothelial cord (or tube) formation is a key in vitro model used to study this process, particularly the reorganization and differentiation of endothelial cells into capillary-like structures. This assay mimics the early stages of angiogenesis, where endothelial cells align, migrate, and form tubular networks when exposed to angiogenic stimuli.
