Target intelligence / Profile preview
Tocopherols, collectively known as vitamin E, are a group of fat-soluble compounds that function primarily as antioxidants. The most biologically active form in humans is alpha-tocopherol. Vitamin E protects cell membranes from oxidative damage by neutralizing free radicals and preventing lipid peroxidation.
Radical scavenging via hydrogen donation, preventing lipid peroxidation and protecting cell membranes from oxidative damage.
