While the functional ATP synthase complex subunit G protein (encoded by ATP5MG) plays a minor but important role in organizing the enzyme structure and facilitating ATP generation via proton transport[6][7], this pseudogene does not code for an active protein, nor does it participate in any known biological function or disease process. It is classified as a pseudogene, lacking therapeutic relevance or established interactions with drugs[3][7].
