Target intelligence / Profile preview
Butyrophilin like 12, pseudogene (BTNL12P), also known as LRRC58-DT or LRRC58 divergent transcript, is a human pseudogene located on chromosome 3q13.33. As a pseudogene, BTNL12P consists of a DNA sequence resembling the butyrophilin (BTN) family genes but contains mutations or deletions that prevent it from producing a functional protein. Some pseudogenes, including certain long non-coding RNAs, may have regulatory roles or serve as decoys for microRNAs; however, there is currently no evidence that BTNL12P has any known biological function, clinical relevance, or therapeutic target properties. It is not considered a therapeutic target nor a biomarker, and there are no associated drugs, mechanisms of action, or safety considerations relevant to this gene.
