CEACAM22P is annotated as a pseudogene, meaning it does not produce a functional protein and therefore does not participate directly in cellular or physiological processes like other CEACAM proteins[3][5]. Pseudogenes may have genomic or regulatory roles, but no direct evidence exists for such a function in CEACAM22P. It is not recognized as a therapeutic target, lacks associated drugs or disease roles, and is not used as a biomarker.
