CLYBL antisense RNA 1 (CLYBL-AS1) is a human long non-coding RNA gene located on chromosome 13 (GRCh37::chr13:100,378,501-100,379,745, reverse strand), transcribed antisense to the CLYBL protein-coding gene[1]. It has no known protein-coding capacity and is classified as a non-coding regulatory RNA. Specific biological functions, roles in disease, or involvement in therapeutically actionable pathways for CLYBL-AS1 are currently uncharacterized in publicly available sources. Generally, antisense lncRNAs may regulate the expression of their sense partners, but there is no specific functional or therapeutic targeting data for CLYBL-AS1 at this time[1][3][4]. Notes: - There is no evidence that CLYBL-AS1 is itself a therapeutic target, nor that it is directly implicated in any disease, biomarker, or drug interaction[1][3]. - Please do not confuse with the CLYBL protein, which is an enzyme with malate synthase and β-methylmalate synthase activities[2][5], but is distinct from the antisense RNA.
