DDX39B antisense RNA 1 (non-protein coding) (DDX39B-AS1)

Target
DDX39B-AS1
Molecular classification
Long non-coding RNA, Antisense RNA
01

Overview

DDX39B-AS1 (DDX39B antisense RNA 1, non-protein coding) is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) gene located on the opposite DNA strand from the DDX39B protein-coding gene. Classified as an antisense RNA, it does not code for protein and its specific biological function has not been described in the published literature. In general, antisense RNAs can modulate the expression of neighboring or overlapping protein-coding genes via diverse regulatory mechanisms at the transcriptional or post-transcriptional level[2][4]. There is no evidence at present that DDX39B-AS1 has a direct role in disease, acts as a biomarker, or is actively targeted by drugs.
